The Hearts Out To Haiti Mission has been in existence for over 10 years supporting three parishes in Les Palmes, Morne a Chandelle and Durissy. The following are some of the accomplishments of the Mission:
- Provide yearly salaries for 130 teachers through the Adopt a Teacher Program
- Provide on-going educational and computer training for teachers
- Provide the yearly salary for a full-time nurse at St. Michel’s Rainbow Clinic in Morne a Chandelle
- Provide yearly worm medicines for over 2,000 children in our three parishes
- Support five university students by paying tuition/room and board in Port au Prince
- Constructed the 10 room – 2 story Fr. Bruny High School in Les Palmes
- Installed a computer lab supporting 15 computers in Les Palmes
- Constructed a Kindergarten at St. Michel’s in Morne a Chandelle
- Constructed a bridge in Durissy
- Constructed 3 outdoor toilets in Les Palmes and Morne a Chandelle
- Constructed a cistern in Les Palmes
- Distributed 1,000 New Testament Creole Bible and over 6,000 Rosaries to school children
- Conduct yearly Vacation Bible School Programs
Our mission is to support the communities of the parishes in Morne a Chandelle, Les Palmes and Durissy, Haiti through evangelization, education and empowerment.
